2026-07-07; festival dates differ by city
Tanabata (Star Festival)
Local celebrations; Hiratsuka’s 2026 festival was July 3–5
Tanabata is associated with July 7, but a city’s public festival need not fall on that date. Hiratsuka’s organiser listed July 3–5 in 2026. Follow the named festival’s schedule when booking a trip; an early-July date does not apply to every Tanabata celebration.
